About Anilkumar M.R
A Visionary in Sustainable Engineering
Anilkumar M.R is a seasoned engineer with over 30 years of diverse international and national experience across engineering, agriculture, natural resource management, and sustainable industries.
International Experience (4 years):
Worked in the Commonwealth of Independent States with ADB and World Bank projects, including the IBTA Project in Turkmenistan, hydropower rehabilitation in Tajikistan, and served as Country Coordinator for the Centre for International Development, UK.
Agricultural Engineering (17+ years):
Specialised in farm mechanisation, irrigation, land reclamation, and the promotion of low-cost, location-specific technologies in Kerala.
Bamboo Industry (4 years as CEO):
Led technology transfer from China for bamboo flooring tiles, pioneered bamboo plantation and product development, and created employment-generation models for bamboo-dependent communities.
Mangrove Conservation (8 years):
Extensive work in mangrove propagation, conservation, and food security projects, developing innovative eco-models like model mangrove patches.
Research & Publications:
Authored papers and presented on farm mechanization, bamboo processing, and coconut timber value addition at forums including the Kerala Science Congress and BMTPC, New Delhi.
Media & Strategy:
Produced visual media content on farming and sustainability, and submitted strategic proposals on mechanization, bamboo processing, employment generation, mangrove conservation, and timber processing.
Product Development:
Innovated sustainable products including bamboo panel boards, bamboo flooring tiles (Kerala species), coconut timber boards, and mangrove ecosystem models.
